To fly any Drone, also known as a sRPAS (Small Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) which weighs 250g or more and up to 25 Kg, you need at least a Basic License issued by Transport Canada. Once you have obtained a Basic License through Transport Canada, you may then want to attempt to obtain your Advanced License which allows you to fly in Nav Canada Controlled Airspace and not less than 5m of any person depending on your drone.
